PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To receive and dispatch stock to and from suppliers and stores as per the set receiving procedures and facilitate the activities of the receiving and warehouse department in order to maximize profits for all parties..

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Any discrepancies to the purchase order whether short or extra must be reported to the manager immediately and authorisation sought for any deviation..
• Responsible to receive all stock as per Purchase Orders and sent to supplier in good quality
• Responsible to perform a physical inspection of goods delivered.
• Identify and reject stock and / or products that are not delivered in good order.
• Oversee that received stock has been transferred from cold room after receiving has been completed to the respective stock cooler.
• Enforce that only products / stock from one supplier is received at a time and that cage is emptied before receiving stock from another supplier.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• Grade 12.
• 4 year experience in warehouse /or similar environment will be an added advantage.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to work under pressure..
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Good communication skills.
