Introduction:

Vacancies exist for 2x Accounts Payable Clerks on a Fixed-Term Contract within the Finance department reporting to the Supervisor Accounts. The successful incumbent will be responsible for timely processing of supplier invoices and resolution of supplier issues/discrepancies to avoid account closure which could lead to business interruptions. In addition to performing supplier reconciliations by clearing the GR/IR list and to resolve supplier queries monthly.


Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective/remedial measures, following up to ensure implementation.
  • Ensure all team members understand their role regarding the RUL work management process and continuously monitor compliance.
  • Ensure work crews meet required work quality standards; provide coaching and training where individual performance needs improvement.
  • Establish strong working relationships with area planners and operators; participate in the development of short- and long-term maintenance plans.
  • Compile weekly performance reports and discuss data with the team to improve work performance.
  • Ensure all contractors in the area of responsibility are supervised and comply with RUL standards and procedures.
  • Constantly monitor personnel and equipment utilisation to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements and experience:

  • Three-year National Vocational Trade Diploma in Fitting and Turning/Diesel Mechanic with L3/N3/S4.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years post-working experience, with at least three (3) years at Supervisory level in a Mining Equipment Maintenance environment.
  • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
  • Police Certificate of Conduct not older than six months (a record will not automatically disqualify candidates).
