Key Performance Areas

Equipment Operation

• Operate the motor grader safely and efficiently in accordance with project requirements.
• Perform grading, levelling, shaping, and finishing of roads, haul roads, platforms, drains, and other construction surfaces.
• Maintain required slopes, elevations, and specifications as directed by supervisors and survey personnel.
• Assist with road maintenance and rehabilitation activities.

Inspections and Maintenance

• Complete pre-use checklists before operating the grader.
• Conduct daily inspections and ensure the equipment is in a safe working condition.
• Report defects detected during inspections and create work requests.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities immediately.
• Keep the grader clean and ensure proper care of the equipment.

Safety and Compliance

• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment at all times.
• Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

Administration and Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely completion and submission of daily equipment inspection sheets and logbooks.
• Report production progress, delays, incidents, and equipment defects to the Foreman.
• Complete duties as delegated by the relevant Foreman or Site Supervisor.
• Assist other construction teams when required to meet project objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Namibian Citizen.
• Grade 10 or National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC).
• Valid Code C1 or CE Driver’s Licence.
• Operator Competency Certificate for Motor Grader.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating a motor grader on road construction, earthworks, or civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of grading techniques, road construction standards, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret site instructions and levels.
