PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth checkout experience and contributing to overall store profitability.


Key Accountabilities

Transaction Processing
  • Process all customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure correct handling of cash, card, and other payment methods.
  • Ensure that all monies received and returned are accurate.
Customer Service
  • Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times.
  • Create a positive checkout experience for every customer.
Cash Control
  • Perform cash-ups in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy and accountability for all transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Minimum 2 years’ cashier experience.
ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Certificate in Computer Sciences.
  • Experience in retail or FMCG environments.
