MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Perform investigations and security related activities in line with the security management plan and ensure compliance to all applicable legal requirements to protect SU assets, property and resources.

Key Performance Areas:

• Implement security corporate investigation and intelligence systems as part of the total operational security framework, for optimal effectiveness.
• Conduct investigations.
• Coordinate and conduct covert operations, including equipment monitoring and take action as per relevant SOPs.
• Maintain Security Information Management System Database.
• Ensure the safe and secure transportation of the drummed product by escorting the consignment to the harbor and verifying that all the containers are loaded for exportation.
• Testify in the Court of law and at disciplinary hearings on behalf of Swakop Uranium (SU) when requested to do so.
• Monitor the movements of people entering and leaving Husab mine as per SSHERQ procedures.
• Verify that all authorizations on documents as per waybill procedure are correct and deviations investigated.

Requirements and experience:

• Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
• Degree in Security Risk Management or equivalent qualification.
• 3 Years’ Security operational experience.
• Experience within the mining industry will be an added advantage.
• Experience must involve: investigations, intelligence gathering and inspections.
• Compiling investigation reports.
• Special Security Investigations and Intelligence.
• Knowledge of security law, criminal law, law of evidence.
• Sound interrogation techniques.
• Sound application and knowledge of security Systems.
• Code B or BE Driver’s License.
