PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Assist the Crane Operator in the safe and correct discharging of all vessels by giving the correct hand signals.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide customer service and assistance to vessels and officers
  • Clean vessels and supply bins and ice to enable return to sea
  • Perform regular general clean-up and maintenance of the IFO plant and store
  • Store fuel hoses correctly when not in use
  • Operate machines or processes using control mechanisms or direct physical activity
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, including information filing and processing paperwork

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Fluent in English
  • One year’s experience in the fuelling industry
  • One year experience in Diesel supplying and IFO supplying with necessary safety training
