PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To manage a vast range of fast-moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets across existing product lines.
• Maintain and improve sales and merchandising standards set by principals.
• Negotiate profitable deals on existing and new product lines with retail buyers.
• Negotiate discounts, shelf space, promotions, and gondola placements.
• Motivate, support, and train merchandisers where required.
• Plan and organise promotional activities through effective negotiations.
• Sort, verify, and submit claims efficiently; recommend reversals where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to stock rotation principles (FIFO).
• Ensure products are correctly displayed at the point of sale.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Grade 12 with at least 3 years’ experience in FMCG, or a Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
• Age between 21 and 35 years.
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
• Proficiency in an indigenous language will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict situations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic understanding of sales mathematics.
• Own reliable transport and willingness to travel extensively.
• Valid passport and police clearance certificate.
• Valid driver’s license (Code B/08).
• Namibian citizenship.
