Job Description:

To provide the organisation with deep client, sector and market insights in key sectors, originate business and identify opportunities to cross sell for RMB and the broader FirstRand Group in line with shareholders strategic objectives and managing a portfolio of corporate clients within the designated sector.


Are you someone who can:

  • Lead a designated client sector by driving strategic growth, strengthening client relationships, and delivering integrated solutions.
  • Develop and execute sector strategies to drive revenue growth, identify opportunities, and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and unlock cross-sell opportunities to maximise long-term client value.
  • Manage the institutional client portfolio, tracking performance against targets and optimising profitability.
  • Collaborate with product, risk, and service teams to deliver seamless, client-centric solutions.
  • Provide insights into Public Sector and Non-Banking Financial Institutions, monitor trends, and position the organisation as a thought leader.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Science, or a related field.
  • CFA/CFI certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development, preferably within Public Sector or Non-Banking Financial Institutions.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of Relationship Managers.
  • Broad knowledge of key sectors of the Namibian economy.
  • Strong ability to assess, quantify, and mitigate risk.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Assertive, resilient, and driven by sales performance.
