Job Description:

Responsible for conducting and documenting moderately complex audit projects. Carry out audits following prescribed audit programs

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As an Auditor, you will be responsible for planning, performing and reporting on internal audit engagements to provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and controls within FirstRand Namibia Group.

Are you someone who can:

• Conduct a preliminary understanding of the business area and processes under review, to obtain detailed knowledge of the processes and establish the scope of the audit.
• Draft an engagement letter and audit work program for management approval.
• Execute high-quality audits in compliance with internal audit methodology and the IIA standards, meeting strict audit plan timelines.
• Introduce efficiencies in the audit processes through leveraging Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAAT).
• Prepare preliminary audit findings and engage business management for root causes and management action plans.
• Draft an audit report highlighting the relevant control weaknesses, risks, and value-adding recommendations.
• Effectively liaise with the Internal Audit Manager and team, cultivating productive long-term relationships.
• Cultivate long-term, value-adding partnerships with clients and effectively liaise with clients at the departmental level to ensure efficient completion of individual reviews.
• Demonstrate continuous upskilling through targeted training and development plans.

You will be an ideal candidate if you meet the below requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Relevant bachelor’s degree and / or CIA.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in internal or external audit.
• IT audit and data analytics experience will be an added advantage.
• Banking and financial services sector experience will be an added advantage.
