Manage the development and implementation of processes, systems, and infrastructure to ensure high quality and timeliness of operations in areas such as account services, international securities, transaction processing, and loan support/credit approval.

Job Specification

• Ensure operational support enables distribution channels and delivers a strong end-to-end customer experience.
• Support the annual business and strategic planning process, translating strategy into actionable priorities.
• Execute tactical business plans at an operational level, ensuring delivery against objectives and timelines.
• Drive operational efficiency, quality, and performance using a balanced scorecard approach (financial, people, process, and customer).
• Monitor and improve operational effectiveness through KPIs, service metrics, controls, and reporting.
• Identify and address risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities proactively.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and operational risk management within the operations environment.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and process optimisation while reducing reliance on manual or legacy practices.
• Lead the adoption and implementation of approved initiatives, changes, and operational improvements.
• Build strong relationships across business units and distribution channels.
• Ensure clear communication with teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership, including Exco reporting and execution tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Namibian citizenship.
• Relevant degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a financial services environment.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
• Strong client focus with an innovative mindset.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong technical knowledge relevant to the role.
• Team-oriented approach.
