PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To coordinate and control the construction, repair and maintenance of the permanent way, buildings and structures in the Civil Infrastructure section of the Company, to ensure a safe infrastructure and the smooth running of rolling stock..

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• B. Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia.
• Five years (5) experience in infrastructure design, construction and maintenance (i.e. railway, buildings, structures, etc.)
• Practical knowledge of buildings, structures and track maintenance, design and construction, costing and budgeting for infrastructure construction and maintenance.
• Analytical, long-term planning and organizing skills, good communication, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, ability to interpret structural plans, specialist technical skills
• Time management, self-starting initiatives, creative, independent, goal directed, emotional maturity, self-control and flexible
