Job Description:

To provide IT expertise and support in the design and configuring of new systems and enhancements to existing systems in accordance with agreed framework of programming standards.

To produce logical and technical specifications from functional specifications and to write the code for small to medium applications.

Are you someone who can:

• Provide IT expertise and support in accordance with agreed framework of programming standards.
• Develop, maintain and enhance existing systems as per required specifications and provide input into programming standards.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions within agreed timelines.
• Build unit and systems tests to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
• Support development environments.
• Mitigate potential risks within the IT programming environment by complying with technology business policy and process requirements (SDLC and change/release management process definition) to ensure operational performance.
• Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback, and request training where appropriate and needed.

You will have access to:

• Have a relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, B.Eng, BSc Eng, BSc Informatics or related degree.
• Have 3–5 years or more of related experience.
• Have experience with one or more programming languages such as Java or .NET.
• Have experience with container orchestration tools.
• Have experience with microservices architecture and Agile methodologies.
• Have experience with CI/CD.
• Have experience with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
