Job Specification

• Manage OMSIC’s liability motor, third-party approach and other Liability claims under various sections of insurance policies.
• Oversee OMSIC’s third-party recovery process.
• Manage and track claims services, including quality control, communication and delivery effectively.
• Identify, manage and minimise operational risks and claims leakage.
• Identify ways in which to reduce claims cost and improve service levels.
• Prepare periodic reports and presentations on claims and projects progress, indicating actual progress against agreed outcomes.
• Analyse claims data, including queries and complaints, to identify trends and propose solutions to management.
• Ensure compliance of claims/operation system and procedures.
• Provide legal and technical advice to the OMSIC Claims Team.
• Provide legal advice to stakeholders on an ad hoc basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Namibian citizen.
• Grade 12 and tertiary qualification: LLB degree.
• 5 years’ experience in a legal environment.
• Must be detail and quality orientated.
• Computer literacy and good numeric skills are essential.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• High energy levels and team player.
• Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative;
• Excellent verbal and written communicator with a passion for customer service and relationship building; and
• Able to manage a team to achieve agreed financial and service targets.
